Oui! Support the Uyghurs!

The Uyghurs (“wee-gurs”) are an ethnic group living in the far northwest of China. Many are Muslims.

It appears that the government of China is engaged in widespread persecution of them.

Reports are emanating from the area that Uyghurs are being forced into what are euphemistically referred to as re-education camps (i.e., gulags) and subjected to forced labor. Tales are told of abuse, torture, rape, and forced sterilization.

Governments and nonprofits alike from around are decrying the Chinese practices in the most serious of terms, deeming them as genocide and crimes against humanity.
